When COVID-19 started to spread in March of 2020, CCEFS took action. We immediately changed how we were serving clients, going from an indoor shopping model to a drive-up service model in one week.
With COVID-19, CCEFS saw an increase of clients coming for help. Total visits to our programs increased 177% from 2019 to 2020. And while the world has made progress towards stopping this pandemic, CCEFS is still seeing high use of all of our programs.
COVID-19 has forced a lot of change since 2020, but it has also shown that our services will always be needed.
